Winner for Magnolia Gift Certificate

Good evening everyone! I can't believe how creative all of you are! Isn't this the best hobby in the whole world?

The design team drooled over all the entries but we could only pick one person as the winner. Thank you to everyone that participated in this contest!

Please congratulation Gina with her adorable hula dancer card. She wins a gift certificate from Magnolia. I love all the colors and the layers she used. Can you believe that she says she's a beginner with Copics and shading? She looks like she's been doing it for years.

Gina, I'll be contacting you.

Thank you again everyone that participates in the contests and challenges. Look for another contest soon!

Sentimentals Bee Challenge

Hi folks, it's Donna Mundinger here, bringing you this week's challenge. I'd been looking over what seems like a TON of my new cartridges lately and trying to remember why each was a "must have" at the time (especially since so many of them have remained untouched, sound familiar?). While leafing through the manual of Sentimentals I came across the gorgeous bee with the swirly wings and knew immediately that that is the cut I wanted to play with. I'm hoping all of my Design Team sisters have the cartridge, but there are so many with busy little bees on them that could be substituted, I hope everyone can play along. That goes for you too, dear readers. Feel free to substitute the bee of your choice if you don't have the Sentimentals cartridge. It's also the last Monday of the month which means it's BLOG HOP TIME! Here's the list of participants, each of whom will be offering up a little candy so be sure to buzz by their blogs and take a look.

From my Kitchen...Ice Cream Tab

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I'm so excited with this challenge. We have SO MANY pieces to inspire you and they're all beautiful!

We were challenged to use the Ice Cream Tab cut from the From My Kitchen cart. Now, this cut doesn't have any ice cream on it but you can find it under the "icecrm" cut on page 59 of the manual.

I love how each of the designers used this cut. Take a look and let us know what you think. Please join us in the challenge, too. If you don't have From My Kitchen, please feel free to use a similar cut. Link us up to your creation using Linky below.

New Contest - Magnolia

Yes, you read that correctly....it's Magnolia that is sponsoring us this month! If you've never seen their stamps (however, I'm sure most of you have) check out the images here. They are DARLING!! All of the images are mounted on EZ-Mount and come ready for you to use on your acrylic blocks.

I've had the pleasure of working with these stamps and they are awesome! The images are so crisp and clean. If you're looking for tips to color in the images, they even have a Copic tip page here.

Magnolia is giving away a gift certificate to one lucky winner. All you need to do is make a project and link us up using McKlinky. To be eligible for this contest, there needs to be some stamping on your project and any cut from the Cricut.

This is going to be a quick contest. You have one week to get linked up and the DT will choose a winner by April 27th.

Plantin Schoolbook...Rick Rack challenge and Guest Designer

Happy Monday to all. This is Carole and I am so pleased to be the hostess this week for our design team. I have chosen Plantin Schoolbook for the cartridge, and I have used the rick rack cut for the die. I love this little cut...it serves so many different purposes on cards or scrapbooking. I love the way the designers take a cut and make it their own. All of the ideas and creations are just fantastic. We would love to have you play along. If you don't have this particular cartridge, play along by selecting a strip design from any other cartridge. There is a cute cute scallop on several cartridges. Why you can even pick a flourish. We always love it when you play along with our challenges.

This is Heather and I'm pleased to announce we have another Guest Designer this month. Her name is Lisa Swift. You can see her gallery here. Lisa is also part of the Good Grief blog.

Hi! My name is Lisa Swift and I’m excited to participate in some of this month’s challenges with the talented BBTB2 team. I started scrapping nine years ago when my daughter, Alexa, was born and I’ve been addicted ever since. The Cricut is one of the newer additions (about a year or so) to my scrapbooking collection, thanks to Heather and some of the other enabling ladies at apeekintoyesterday.com. LOL! When I’m not scrapping, I like to volunteer at my daughter’s school, go to yoga class, bake/cook, and read.
