Celebrations/Birthday Cake

Hi, it's Carole and I am hostess for the BBTB2 month end blog hop.....Happy Monday to one and all. It's almost the end of May and within a few days we will bounce right into June. Welcome to our blog hop.

I asked the design team to use the birthday cake from the Celebrations cartridge. I love this cartridge...it was one of those first on the scene cartridges and I have always gone back to it time and time again even though we have a flood of wonderful cartridges to create with.

Winner of the Strawberry Challenge

Time to announce the winner of our Strawberry Challenge.  It was difficult to choose because there were so many great entries but I picked Cheryl's card (from Cards by CG).  I just love how she made a shaped card from a tag and my favorite part was the flower blossom she added with a button embellishment.  Well done, Cheryl!  If you'll email me at: thomasjeri55@yahoo.com I'll see that you get your POW button to display on your blog.

Florals Embellished...Flying Bird Challenge

Good morning, all! It's Donna here and I'm excited to be hosting this week's challenge. I don't know about you, but I've accumulated quite a few of the "newer" cartridges but as of yet, have had no time to play with them. While browsing the manual of Florals Embellished, I came across not only lovely flowers, but beautiful birds as well, so I chose the flying bird on page 61. Of course if you don't have Florals Embellished, you may use any of the flying birds, from any of the cartridges, as you see some of my sweet sisters have done here. As always, the challenge runs for two weeks so I hope you have time to come fly with us.

Forever Young...Sunglasses challenge

Good Morning fellow Cricuteers! This is Heather and I'm hosting the challenge this week. I asked everyone to use the sunglasses from the Forever Young cart. I hope you like what the designers made.

Please don't forget to play along with us. Link us up to your project using McLinky below. You have 2 weeks to complete the challenge. Remember, if you don't have the Forever Young cart, find some sunglasses from another cart and you can use those.

Did you know that BBTB has been around for nearly 4 years?!?! Regina's first project on the original BBTB was on June 6, 2007.

We've been around for awhile. We thank those of you that have been with us since the beginning and we welcome all our new visitors, too. If you're not a follower of our blog, please sign up to be one.

Thank you for all your support and inspirational projects you've shared with us over the last four years!! Let us know what you'd like to see here at BBTB2. What has been your favorite project so far? Is there something we can do to improve? We want to keep you coming back. HUGS!

Mother's Day Challenge - Project of the Week

We're a little behind on this one. Sorry about that. There were so many beautiful entries and I had such a difficult time choosing just one.

However, this one from Cricutmimi really stood out to me.

I LOVED that doily in the background and her patterned paper choices. It's so feminine and delicate looking. A perfect Mother's Day card!

Congratulations, Cricutmimi, you will get a POW blinkie to put on your blog.

Thank you everyone for playing along with us. We LOVE looking at your entries. Isn't this a great hobby?!?!?! Love it!!

Winner of the pineapple challenge

Seeing all of the great projects you guys made with the pineapple really put me in a tropical mood. I'm ready to go sit on a beach somewhere!
The winner of the challenge is Andrea Amu.

Congrats Andrea! Email me for your BBTB2 challenge blinkie :-)

Simply Charmed...Strawberry challenge

Happy Monday to Everyone! Jeri here with this week's challenge. I hope that all the moms and grandmothers had a wonderful Mother's Day and you were treated like royalty. Did you know that May is National Strawberry month? In honor of this juicy red morsel I've chosen the strawberry cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge to design with this week. Remember if you don't have the Simply Charmed cartridge you can use a strawberry cut from another cartridge. Our fantastic design team has come up with some delicious designs to get your inspiration started. We look forward to your inspiration, too!!!

Apple Core

Good morning everyone! It's me, Heather. It's my turn to host the challenge. I chose the apple core from the Preserves cart.

Before we get to the details, I'd like to introduce a new Designer to Bitten By the Bug 2. Please give a warm welcome to Carri V. You can see her blog here. We're so excited to have her as part of the team.

While working on the project, I realized I had kind of stumped myself. Would an apple core make a good "Thinking of You" card? What would that mean? I ate this apple and now I'm looking at the core and it reminds me of you? No, that wouldn't work. Or, what about a "Thank You" card? An apple core and a "thank you" could be taken as a "Gee, thanks for nothing" sarcastic kind of card.

I was telling my mother my dilemma and within a few seconds, she suggest it be a get well card. You know, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

"PERFECT!" I exclaimed. So, that's what I went with.

Please join us in this challenge. If you think you can make an apple core work with a "Thinking Of You" sentiment, I'd love to see it!! LOL! Link us up to your project using McLinky below. You have two weeks to prove to me my apple-core-thinking-of-you-idea would really work. ;) Actually, you can use any apple core or apple from any cart if you don't have Preserves. Have fun with it!
